Authorities say an investigator with the La Plata County Sheriff's Office is recovering after he was accidentally shot in the leg.
Investigator Tom Cowing's handgun discharged when it fell out of his car and bounced on the ground near Vallecito Reservoir on Friday morning.
“When the weapon hit the ground on its hammer, it discharged once and struck him in the leg,” Bender said."
ReplyDeleteI wish they had mentioned the model. Not many are susceptible to that anymore. Even the single action autos have been produced with a firing pin block in the mid 80's. At least for the Colt 1911.
