The monster is real

The reality is that a gun in the home is more likely to kill a family member than an intruder. It was that type of finding that caused the freeze on gun violence research since it "may be used to advocate or promote gun control".

Of course, if you really believe that something which is a potential hazard to your family is somehow "the best method of self-defence", then you are quite welcome to it.

Collect your Darwin award.

PLEASE!

  1. . . . then you are quite welcome to it.

Thanks, but we don't need any "welcome" from you--our Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear the best method of self-defense is quite enough.

    2. Thanks, Mikeb. The rest of my life it is, then. But you still have Starbucks and Facebook ;-).

    1. If the truth bothers you why come here? He's not sending this to your blog, or Email, you comr here.

    2. Tell us why you make the choices you do all you want. I'll even come here and listen to them and tell you why I make the choices I do. I don't mind that at all. But the gun control movement has been about taking choice away through force of law. Laci's last line about being "welcome to it" is not consitent with his, and certainly Mike's ideas on gun control.

    3. Then don't bitch and say "leave us alone." You choose to come here.

    4. Anonymous, as long as you don't try to get laws passed, I don't care what you say. But when you attempt to force choices on me, I will object--here and everywhere else I can.

    6. I'm not trying to pass any law GC, but thanks for lying again. I'm not forcing you to do anything GC, but thanks for lying again. Here we see the tactic of irrational thinking and hate. GC constantly lies and his lies infer I am harming him. Not sure where his levil of hate and irrationality comes from, but it is false.

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Is pointing out inconsistencies in the other side's arguments not a legitimate criticism of those arguments?

Also, I don't object to TS as king, but can I at least be an earl?

    8. Actually, Kurt, I have you slated as the Viscount of Snark- and that's not too bad.

    9. I'll take it. Thanks, TS (er, Your Highness)!

    10. Well, I'm an opponent of aristocracies, so call me the citizen of snark.

    11. Now that I've thought about it, you're both kings. Let's call it a dumbvirate.

It's dumb because you guys seize upon minor mistakes and ignore the bigger points.

    12. Mikeb, when you or Laci have a point, do let us know.

  3. Why are anti-gun activists so violent? Laci begs us to collect a Darwin Award, other commenters post prayers for the demise of gun owners, and Laci fantasizes about MLRS and strategic weapon use in the homeland.

  4. Of course, Disnet did a mech better portrayal on monsters in the closet which became a merchandising gravy train. However, my mind immediately went to this movie and dealing with monsters in the closet. And before everyone get the vapors, let me quote Triumph, I keed, I keed....
