Does this picture bother you?

Are you happy to see these kids waving guns around (despite their fingers being on the trigger)?

Do you see a difference between the picture above and this one?

How about this one?

Is this what you want us to see as normal?

BTW, the kids at the top are a Palestinians in Gaza.

Is it normal? Or is it posed?

    1. Posed?
There have been many photos like this (kids holding guns) which have been posted worldwide by gun loons and the gun loons happily declare the kids are their kids. No need to falsify such photos.

    2. At least one of these photos seem to be a stock photo from a news article. I'm not sure, but it's quite possible it was posed. If you want to get picky, they're all posed. And there's nothing wrong with that other than it offends your sensibilities.
One of my daughters took photos of her sisters and herself the last time we went to the range. It's something they enjoy doing and it's perfectly acceptable with proper supervision.

    3. What they show is the piss poor safety instructions that kids have had. Wouldn't a "responsible" gun owning photographer tell the kids to take their fingers off the triggers?

    4. You say you are "not sure" and "seems to be", but you are sure I'm wrong. HA HA HA
Right, and there nothing wrong with letting a 9 year old shoot, as long as there was supervision. HA HA HA

    5. My kids are both older and younger and need different levels of supervision which is dependent on their age and maturity. Since you know nothing about them you really cant make an informed comment. Laugh away Anon.

    6. More deception from the gun loon. I never said anything about your kids so please don't use some invented personal lie, that I never made. Do you always lie as a comeback? The fact the death occurred showed the girl should not have been firing the gun. She did not have the physical capability to shoot that gun, even with an instructor standing right there telling her what to do. On with your gun loon lying tactics.

My apologies Anon, I was out of line with that comment. And I do agree that the instructor was negligent in his supervision of the child. However, being able to use such a firearm safely is a matter of training. Something the girl didn't have. This instructor didn't supervise properly and paid for it with his life.
Training is what separates competent from unsafe,

"The mistake in Arizona was not in allowing a 9-year-old girl to possess a gun. That clearly could have been done safely. The mistake was in allowing a young child to attempt to shoot a fully automatic, short-barreled machine gun, which notoriously experiences extreme "muzzle rise" when it is shot in full-auto mode, without the instructor having his hands in a location to control the gun when the trigger was pulled. Many adults cannot control an Uzi when shooting it full-auto, at least not without proper instruction and some experience. That is why many public ranges do not allow fully-automatic weapons. It takes a heightened amount of knowledge and experience to safely control a fully-automatic firearm."

    8. This was a highly trained and experienced person teaching this child. Imagine what happens with less trained people teaching children how to shoot. The video shows the instructor did not have his hands on the girl when she shot, he should have, because she obviously did not have the physical ability to control the gun. It's easy to believe most people who teach children to shoot have less experience and training than this guy did, but I guess like GC you believe teaching a 3 year old to shoot and kill is just fine and safe. No wonder they call you guys gun loons.

Yep, and he made a mistake and paid the bill. Training people to shoot safely isn't rocket science, but it is also something that requires a constant focus on the firing line.

    10. Typical BS from you, the point is if he was one of the highly trained people imagine what happens with not so highly trained people. Your insistence that a 9 year old be trained to kill with an UZI is sick. Just another sick gun loon who doesn't care who gets killed.

I never said that Anon, many people shoot firearms, kids included and do nothing but punch holes in paper. And some engage in hunting. The range in Arizona wasn't really providing instruction, just an experience, not too unlike tandem parachute jumps which also results in the occasional death.

    12. In the US, you have to be 18 to skydive. Additionally, tandem skydiving is the safest form of skydiving; most skydiving fatalities happen when more 'experienced' skydivers attempt in-air acrobatics or maneuvers causing fouling of equipment or forced landings outside the drop zone. Worldwide, there've been about 30 tandem jump fatalities over the past decade. Of these fatalities, one involved a heart attack and there were 3-4 instances where there was a mid-air collision with a videographer.

    13. More BS from the liar. You just spent the last few comments defending a child should be able to be taught to shoot. You claim thsi instructor was a bad instructor, but he was a better trained instructor than 99% would get. Now on with your BS lies.

  3. Stupid gun nut parents who allow their children to pose with guns and ignore the safety rules should be arrested and disarmed.

  4. I really feel sorry for these kids, especially the two or three year-old.

My family likes bikes, scooters and skates! Kites! Balsa wood planes!
