  1. Had Michigan residents been afflicted with the shackles of a mandatory "safe" storage law, this 11-year-old girl may very well have been killed. Price of doing business, I suppose you'd say.

    1. At what price, Kurt? At the price of dozens who are killed or injured?

The price of forcible citizen disarmament is a much higher body count than that.

    3. Nonsense. That price is mainly in inconvenience. The net life-saving result is squarely on the side of gun control, especially safe storage and background checks.

Sure, for those who view genocide as an "inconvenience." For those of us who are not fanatics, on the other hand, referring to such monstrous evil as "inconvenience" is itself an unforgivable atrocity.

    5. What garbage Kurt. None of those countries had a 2nd A and the gun loon cry that the American government wants to confiscate all guns is just paranoid, conspiracy theorist garbage.

    6. None of those countries had a 2nd A . . .

Which is precisely my point. If those victims of tyranny had enjoyed the advantage of a Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms, one that shall not be infringed, the outcome would likely have been vastly different.

    7. Precisely my point, it won't happen here because we have laws to protect against it, so your comparison is gun loon garbage. You are not being "infringed" just because of background checks, waiting periods, magazine capacity, etc., etc......

    8. Mandatory safe storage would be a "monstrous evil" and an "unforgivable atrocity?"

Kurt, could you be any more fanatical?

More fanatical than not fanatical at all? Why yes, I suppose I could, but since fanaticism ain't my style, I won't.

    10. Oh no? How about excessive exaggeration, sometimes referred to as hyperbole, but in your case the word doesn't do it justice. "monstrous evil" and an "unforgivable atrocity" indeed.
