Please leave a comment.The dissenting judge, Rosalyn Richter, said Lora’s story was "far-fetched," noting that he could have put his gun away when he saw it was a car accident and not a shooting, and that Arzu had been shot in the back at close range.
She also pointed out evidence that contradicted Lora’s testimony that he was being dragged by the car when he opened fire, but the majority said that didn’t matter- he was still trying to cause serious physical injury.They overturned the conviction and dismissed the indictment.
Lora had been facing one to three years in prison, but wound up not serving any time because he was out on bail during the appeal.

NY Cop's Manslaughter Conviction Overturned
The New York Post reports on a fascinating case. I agree with the dissenting judge. What do you think?
