Irresponsible SC Gun Shop Owner Robbed Again - This Time He Kills One Wounds Two

The Blaze reports

This is another type of DGU, the preventable or avoidable one. Once the action begins, it may be justified and legitimate, but it never should have happened.

The last time his store was robbed, he installed iron bars. This time, I suppose he'll finish work on that "unfinished wall" which was easily breached.

Of course the pro-gun crowd won't want to look at any of those elements.  All they want to know is if they were bad guys and if they needed shootin'.

What's your opinion?  Please leave a comment.

  1. So you are saying that if a bad guy does something criminal it's the victims fault!? Spoken like a true liberal Mike.

    1. No, I'm saying the bad guy and the victim can both be at fault, both responsible for their own actions or lack thereof.

  2. Once again, mikeb, I agree with you, this never should have happened. If only those three armed robbers would have just stayed home and obeyed the law, they wouldn't have been shot.

Of course, you don't think the blame should be on the criminal, but on the store owner and that's where I disagree. Committing a violent act upon an innocent person should be the most dangerous thing a criminal ever does.

    1. It's not an either/or, Bill. The thieves are guilty of theft. The store owner is guilty of not providing a safe and secure place for his gun inventory.

  3. You don't own a business, do you, Mikeb? I don't know what this man's balance sheet looks like, but many businesses can't afford the kind of security measures that you seem to be demanding. But as others have said, the robbers selected themselves for getting shot. If they hadn't broken into the business and then said, "Shoot the mother fucker," he'd have had no problem with them.

  4. Mike, you are insane! The robbers drove through a WALL!!!!!!! They broke the law. How in the world can you justify blaming it on the gun shop owner?

If the statutes were much harsher I bet they wouldn't have driven through the wall to try to steal the guns. At least one of them paid got what was coming to him. There is no excuse for a premeditated act like that. All of the accomplices should be charged for the murder of the one that died like Florida's law says.

I'll say it again, it's the criminals fault, not anyone else's. This notion that everything in this world that is of value must be kept under lock and key is ridiculous. Even if the guns were out in broad daylight in front of the store, if someone took one, it would be stealing which is against the law. Punish the thieves and violent criminals. Good grief, is it really so hard to figure out the way to correct this behaviour.

Please answer this question: Why do you insist on punishing everyone else but the ones causing the crimes?

    1. It was an "unfinished wall." Now he's gonna finish it, just like last time when they climbed in a window he then got bars installed.
