  1. The fact that either of those could be banned shows the danger that liberty is under at all times. But let's note that most of us aren't allowed to bring the rifle into a school, so the image there is disingenuous.

    1. Hey! The First Amendment has been violated, So Why can't we Violate the Second Amendment!

Love that Tyrannical logic Mike! Don't fuss that we should protect the First Amendment! No! Use the violation of it to say, "Hey, we're apparently ok with this violation, so let's support this other violation!"

Also, when we warn that weakening one part of the Bill of Rights weakens the protections of all of them, Aren't you usually the one who lectures us about conflating the two rights which you say are not related at all?

    2. There isn't a first amendment violation as far as I can tell. This was two school districts (out of how many thousands?) choosing not to stock one particular version of Little Red Riding Hood in their libraries. That's it. Children won't be expelled, suspended, or punished in any way for bringing their own copy of the "banned" book to school. And for this, they say it's ok to throw adult citizens in prison because of a stock with a hole in it. Juvenile logic at its best.

  2. Inane comparison. Little Red Riding Hood is not a banned book. There are two School districts in the whole country that ban one particular version for depicting a bottle of wine in the little girl's basket, and the Federal government does not ban you from buying/owning/selling/reading it in your own home.

  3. I thought they were referring to the rifle and the last AWB. Anyway, I figure one of those kids is from NJ and the other is from LA. Can you guess which is which?
