An Arlington woman was hospitalized Friday afternoon after she
accidentally shot herself in her leg while cleaning out her husband’s
pants in their home in the 5200 block of Burdette Road, according to the
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The woman, said to be in her 60s, picked up her husband’s pants and shook them at about 1:15 p.m., Sgt. Felipe Alicia said.
“He carries a firearm in his pants pocket and it fell out and went off,” Alicia said. “ ... There are no signs of foul play or any signs of violence and we are classifying this as an accidental injury.”
Alicia said it was a small caliber gun and there were no other issues. City paramedics transported the woman to Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville.

Gee another dropped gun goes off, but the gun loons insist this cannot happen.
ReplyDeleteAnother lie from the anti-gun anonymous who consistently misstates our arguments and battles straw men which still have higher IQ's than him.
DeleteThis from the lying gun loon who said dropped guns cannot possibly go off. Next lie.....
DeleteI have NEVER said that, Anon. But thanks for proving your inability to argue for gun control without lying. It's too bad that you're not even good at lying since so many of your lies are so easily checked and shown to be wrong.
DeleteEveryone read your "dropped guns don't go off" bullshit. So why did this gun go off simply because it was dropped asshole?
DeleteCitation, troll?
DeleteCitation GC? Ever read your own comments? What a joke you are.
DeleteNot GC, Microbrain. Also, never saw Greg claim that guns couldn't go off--always saw him say what the rest of us said: newer guns usually have new safeties put into them to prevent this from happening, but guns without these can go off when dropped.
DeleteSo all these guns going off when dropped (another one posted today) are what 1890 guns, maybe 1776 pistols? Laughable.
DeleteThat's funny, you claim you are new here and not GC, but then claim (wrongly) to know what GC said a year ago. Laughable. You will have to do better than that to cover your obvious lies. How about anons (7:31pm) comment? These constant guns going off are all guns from 50 to 250 years old?
DeleteThere certainly are too many of these incidents to be consistent with what the pro-gun folks say about "modern guns."
DeleteExactly my point and why I call BS to their insistent bogus claims about guns cannot possibly go off when dropped.
DeleteShe probably shot herself and lied about it to save face.
ReplyDeleteThis lie is of course to prove your lie (dropped guns cannot possibly go off) is true. She did it to herself. Laughable. Why do gun loons lie?
