Yesterday, April 20, 2011, there was a pipe bomb found not far from Columbine High School, scene of this shooting. It is currently presumed to be a current case of domestic terrorism. I found it interesting that a pipe bomb was part of the Columbine massacre as well.
I think it is fair to characterize the two shooters in the Columbine shooting as gun nuts. Which is NOT to say that all gun nuts are like this; they are not. In case any of you are wondering, the Virginia Tech massacre took place within a few days of the anniversary of Columbine, on April 16th, 2007.
April 20, 1999.

ReplyDeleteWell where is your call for pipebomb control.... what the fuck is wrong with you.....
(Sigh......) Anonumbass, I thought it was implicit that I'm in favor of keeping pipe bombs out of the hands of the average jerk on the street who would use them to harm someone - anyone. Even you.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for pointing out the recurrence is that most people tend to have forgotten or were always unaware of the other ways that the Columbine shooters also planned to hurt people besides guns.
But guns in both cases were what did the overwhelming amount of damage. Guns were the effective weapons, not the pipe bomb (in either case, then or now).
But heck, show me the effective big money lobby for pipe bombs manipulating conservative members of congress against our national self-interes, and I will certainly consider the notion of even more stringent pipe bomb restrictions.
Although...could we get any more stringent on those than we are now?
Go fantasize on that for awhile Anonumbass.
Dog Gone, Thanks for posting those videos. I never would have taken the time to watch all that if you hadn't.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry about Anonymous. Only a pro-gun fanatic would make jokes about pipe bombs.
