About Zimmerman's Weight

Yahoo News

The defense also called a gym owner, Adam Pollock, who told the jury Zimmerman was "soft" and lacked proficiency in fighting after taking classes in grappling and boxing for a year.

Although Zimmerman lost 50 to 80 pounds (22 to 36 kg), he lacked the muscle or fighting skill to train against an opponent in the ring, he said.

The testimony could be helpful in explaining how Zimmerman, at around 200 pounds (90 kg), could have lost a fight to Martin, who weighed 158 pounds (71 kg) at his autopsy. Since his arrest, Zimmerman has ballooned to more than 300 pounds (136 kg) due to what his lawyer called the stress of going on trial.
Many gun owners, especially the wannabe-cop types, figure there's no need to stay in shape. The gun gives them all the protection they need.  There's a reason for the stereotype.

  1. It's curious that none of you gun control freaks show us pictures of yourselves, with the exception of the fellow from Oregon, who looks rather pudgy. Of course, if we're going to be prejudiced against overweight people, Martin's mother and friend more than make up for Zimmerman.

    2. That's the one. He blasphemes the Norse gods, and I refuse to call him by those names. When he comes around here, I refer to him as Oregonian.

There's a reason for most stereotypes, that reason being that those who purvey them are intellectually lazy bigots.

    This is no exception.

  3. Did you see the news today that Mexico now has a higher obesity problem than America? Of course, you've been shown before that blacks and Hispanics have a higher obesity rate than whites in this country, so your criticizing overweight gun owners keeps getting weaker and weaker.

    1. Your boy Zimmerman is a good example of the Hispanic variety. But, since he killed an unarmed black kid, we usually think of him as just another FWM with a gun permit.

    2. 1. He's not my boy.

      2. We already know that you aren't constrained by facts or logic.

    3. Your boy Zimmerman . . .

It's my understanding that Mr. Zimmerman is an adult, rather than a "boy."

Furthermore, I seriously doubt Greg claims ownership of the man, or any other person. In fact, I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suppose that Greg finds chattel slavery abhorrent.

So if the race of the deceased had been different, your view of Mr. Zimmerman would be, too?

      . . . we . . .

So who is this "we"? Is there some entire coalition of liars wishing to deny Mr. Zimmerman his half Peruvian heritage in furtherance of the agenda of convicting him in the court of public opinion?

. . . just another FWM with a gun permit.

I take it that's supposed to be a bad thing?

    5. You're right, Kurt. I find slavery to be abhorrent. I'm stating that explicitly, since lots of rights are denied or challenged on this blog.
