Rush Limbaugh on Slavery

This reminds me of the popular pro-gun nonsense that compared to the total number of gun owners the number of kids who are killed each year is insignificant, certainly nothing to warrant changes in gun laws.

  1. Are you suggesting that slavery was not a constant of the world until the middle nineteenth century? Are you unaware that there are more slaves today that at any point in the past? Or perhaps you think that some of us here today own slaves?

    1. I get ya. Our slavery was no big deal, just like the people who die from gun violence.

    2. I did not say that it was no big deal. It was morally wrong. But it does fit into a context, and it was a hundred years ago.

  2. So 'Rush Limbaugh said...' What does that mean? The dittoheads who get their 'news' from him will have learned nothing new. I guess it is like a daily pill for them, though. A bitter pill that, seemingly, they crave in order to make themselves feel better about their miserable lives.
