Authorities are investigating after
they say a man claimed he accidentally shot and killed his sleeping wife
in their Tamarac home early Tuesday.
Jason
Browdy, 35, told deputies he accidentally shot his wife, Monique
Browdy, in the head as she lay in their bed, Broward Sheriff's Office
officials said.
disgraceful nonchalance
ReplyDeleteYeah--nothing says the authorities aren't taking it seriously like, "Authorities are investigating."
I wasn't talking about the failure to arrest the guy prior to an investigation. I was talking about the fact that when you decide to get rid of the old wife, claiming it was an accident is a good way to get away with it. This is due to the disgraceful nonchalance with which gun accidents are treated.
Delete"A Tamarac man faces a charge of premeditated murder in connection with his wife's shooting death.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Broward County jail records, Jason Browdy was booked at a Fort Lauderdale jail early Wednesday morning.
Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a shooting at 5720 Tuscany Terrace about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday."

24 hours between the crime and charges. What nonchalance are you referring to?
His attempt to claim it was ONLY an accident.
DeleteWait, I'm not following. Guy shoots his wife. Says it was an accident. The police collect evidence and determine it wasn't an accident and arrest him within 24 hours. But because he said it was an accident in an effort to get away with a crime, this somehow constitutes an example of "disgraceful nonchalance"?
DeleteHis attempt to claim it was ONLY an accident.
DeleteI see the word "ONLY" nowhere in the article (capitalized or not).
Hopefully this loser will make a good "wife" while he is serving a life sentence.
