Your side would know all about repeating the lie often enough:
"The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons. In addition, few people can envision a practical use for these weapons."
It explains why over 65 % of Fox Viewers believe that Iraq had WMDs while people who watched other media outlets like NBC and CBS the ratio was around 40% of viewers. NPR listeners were the most educated witho only 20 % believing IRAQ had WMDs. My recent blog on Eisenhower and the Strategic Bomber gap and the subsequent Missile gap is a perfect example of the first use of how a lie turned into politics!

1. DGUs are extremely numerous 2. owning a gun increases your safety 3. most gun owners are responsible 4. Helmke and Hennigan and Sugarmann are liars 5. children can be taught gun safety

The difference between these and the anti-gun list is these are all proven time and again as fact.
Reminds me of anti's nonsense.
