Police in a New Orleans suburb say a woman and her three daughters have been shot to death in their home.
Kenner Police Chief Steve Caraway identified them as 29-year-old Nadia Braxton and 12-year-old Kayla Peters, 18-month-old Nayax Peters, and 6-month-old Nyla Peters.
He says the father called police about 5 p.m., saying he had found the bodies. He was being questioned.
Caraway says the bodies were on one bed. The children were lengthwise, their mother's across them, and a gun was at the foot of the bed. The oldest girl apparently was shot in chest and the others in the forehead.
Caraway says the father's last name is Peters. He did not know the first. An online phone directory lists Ronald J. Peters at that address.
