How Do You Find a Lost Blimp?

I first heard about the missing Blimp this morning, and went to look it up online, puzzled as to how one would recover an unmanned lighter than air ship floating in the atmosphere where it would present a potential danger to air traffic.

I post it here, becaues one of the directions for my speculation was that someone would decide to shoot it down.  Ah, but speculation won't have a chance to thrive; the darn thing has been found - and I can only imagine how very surprised the homeowner who found it in his back yard must have been.  Hopefully it was not sufficiently distressing to drive the homeowner to drink...given the name of the blimp owners.

From the AP:

AP) – 6 hours ago
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Officials say a 128-foot-long blimp that broke loose from its moorings at the Ohio State University airport in high winds has been found about two miles away in a backyard.
Ohio state police spokesman Lt. Rudy Zupanc says the blimp was found by a homeowner in Worthington just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday, more than seven hours after strong winds lifted it out the airfield in Columbus. There was no immediate word on the condition of the blimp.
The state Highway Patrol says no one was aboard the Hangar 1 Vodka blimp when it broke loose and drifted eastward from the airfield.
The blimp is on a tour of eastern and Midwest cities, according to the Hangar One Vodka website. The distiller that produces Hangar One Vodka, St. George Spirits of Alameda, Calif., did immediately respond to phone calls early Sunday.

Sorry not to get to this post earlier. I hope I am not too late.

Too find a lost blimp it is important to keep in mind two things.

A.) The blimp has to want to be found.

3.) One must use the right bait, to wit:

Depending on the blimp's last known location one might offer one of several baits.

In the USA!USA!!USA!!! one might want to stake out a trophy wife or six.

Also, a preposterously large multi-year radoibloviation contract or large quantities of Oxycontin might be placed in the blimp's preferred environments.

If said blimp is outside this country, other baits might be tried. There is not enough reliable information about other countries to make an informed guess about what attractants might work best in attracting the blimp--with the exception of the Dominican Republic. It is thought that, when in the Dominican Republic, at least one notorious blimp is lured by megadoses of Viagra and pre-pubescent prostitutes.

Oh, wait, were you not talking about Rush Limbaugh? Did you have some other sort of gasbag in mind?
