my comment:
Thanks for that video of Wild Bill. His description of all the things Islam has given the world was one of the most hateful and bigoted little diatribes I’ve ever heard. That, followed by his simplistic description ad the Arab-Israeli conflict, made that one of the all-time most hateful videos I’ve seen.
His view is simplistic, and I thought this wasn't the place to discuss matters outside guns. Except when it is, I suppose. I will point out that the land in question was the Ottoman Empire, until said nation was defeated in the First World War. After that, the land was under the administration of the British and the French. Various nations were created out of the remnants of the Ottoman territory, including Turkey (where Fattyturk was born), Syria, and Jordan--the land given to the Palestinians. Israel was intended for the Jews. You may not like the way things were divided up, but winners do get to make those decisions--at least, that's the way things happened back then. Now, we don't ask much of nations that lose wars, other than to accept our aid.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the Palestinians and their cause would be much better off if Arafat had never lived. Ehud Barak offered him the best deal they'll ever get back in 2000, and what did the pirate from Gaza do? He pulled a Democommie and walked away cussing. Only he added rockets and bombs afterward.
What did he say that wasn't true?
ReplyDelete"They (Islam) invented the fine art of sky-jacking." That was his first remark, a typical, hateful and bigoted lie.
DeleteIt would have been better to say that some of them are responsible for such acts.
DeleteWhat was the hateful and bigoted part?
ReplyDelete"They (Islam) invented the fine art of sky-jacking." That was his first remark, a typical, hateful and bigoted lie.
DeleteThey did not invent sky-jacking, but they did invent sky-jacking a plane into a building as a method of terrorism.
DeleteIslamic terrorists do hold the record for lives lost in the use of commercial aircraft for terror.
DeleteThis guy is so far off with his facts that it's hard to know where to begin. 3000 people were not inside the Towers on 9/11. Actually many more were inside at the time. The total people killed that day was about 3000 including the people in the planes. Where is this guy getting his facts? If people want to believe this crap and vote for this man, our country will be far worse for it. His bigoted and false comments show us an ugly under belly of our country occupied by people who are fact free.
ReplyDeleteI'll reply to your here, even though you won't let me reply to you on your own site. Your only quibble with what he said is the exact number who died in the Towers? Why didn't you mention bringing the number zero to the West? Why not the advancement of women's rights that the Qur'an insists on? Why not the Greek manuscripts that the Arabs preserved? Why not mention the doctrinal elegance of Islam?
DeleteOf course, you could also note that since the European Renaissance, the Muslim world has ossified and, in many areas, regressed. This observation has been made by Muslim scholars these days.
Given how much you don't know about your favorite topic, guns, it's no surprise that you had little to say on this one as well.
"His bigoted and false comments show us an ugly under belly of our country occupied by people who are fact free."
DeletePot, meet kettle.
"Given how much you don't know about your favorite topic, guns, it's no surprise that you had little to say on this one as well."
But... but... COMMON SENSE!
Why can't I find Israel on a pre-1948 map or world atlas?

Good one, but what's your point?
DeleteI've read, several times, Mark Twain's 1869 book, "The Innocent's Abroad", about the first cruise from America to the Holy Land and it describes the Palestinian people, the land, the culture in detail, yet there isn't a word about Israel. Which is the made-up country?
Deleteorlin sellers
They are both are made up countries, one is just a little older than the other, so ultimately it sucks to be the looser since the winners get to write the rules, and in this case the maps.......
