Fr. Michael Plfeger Describes the Solution

The Chicago Tribune reports with video

The pro-gun guys, inspired by their leader, Wayne La Pierre, have been doubling down on one of their favorite ploys. They talk about ways to reduce gun violence, placing armed guards in schools, for example, INSTEAD of doing something about gun availability.

They will do or say anything to deflect attention from that first main problem.

Fr. Pfleger, on the other hand, said it nicely.  We need to work on all aspects of the problem, INCLUDING gun availability.

What's your opinion?  Please leave a comment.

  1. Guns are more available; gun laws are loosening; gun ownership is up, and the rates of violent crime are down. We're doing exactly what we should be doing already.

  2. Why is Fr. Michael Plfeger so violent, he is advocating murder

Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina’s Church, went way over the top this week. During a protest against Chuck’s Gun Shop, Father Pfleger twice threatened to “snuff out” the shop’s owner and threatened the same fate for legislators who oppose his position on gun control.

“We’re gonna find you and snuff you out,” Fleger said about the gun shop owner, likening the man to a “rat.” He later repeated his threat to “snuff out” the owner.

Fleger also had this to say to state legislators who vote against gun control measures.

“We’re gonna snuff out legislators who are voting [garbled] against our gun laws and we’re coming for you because we are not going to sit idly.”

    1. That was exaggerated bullshit when it happened and it's still that. You chopped the quote off to make the preposterous assertion that it was a death threat.

“We’re gonna find you and snuff you out, you can't hide.”

That way it sounds more like we're going to uncover you for what you are or something other than kill. Another way to understand it is "to put out of business."

It was an inflammatory choice of words but anyone who thinks it was a real death threat is lying.

Alan Holmes mentioned three of the many right wing remarks that were even more explicit. It's just talk and pretending these are serious threats is stupid.

  3. Sounded like talk of murder to me, and he is one of yours, why are you filthy gun grabbers so violent?
