An April Fool’s joke brought police to a Kingsport home Monday and landed the apparent prankster in police custody for a time.
Susan Tammy Hudson, 52, was not arrested, however, police said about 3.5 hours later.
KPD officers responded to 713 Union Hill Road after a call that a woman allegedly had shot and killed her husband.
When police arrived, contact was made with Susan Hudson, who told police it had been an April Fool’s Day joke.
Hudson’s husband, who was not involved with the joke, showed up shortly thereafter and was uninjured.
