A Connecticut shop that sold a gun to Nancy Lanza, the Newtown school shooter's mother, has lost its federal firearms license.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives revoked the license of Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor in December 2012. The agency didn't say why.

Why do you think?

  1. Probably political. I'm sure they found some paperwork mistake to base it on, but why do YOU think? You wouldn't be so interested in this story unless you were thrilled to see this happen to them. There's plenty of sycophants just like you in BATFE-i-e-i-o.

  2. Given the paperwork requirements that BAYFE-i-e-i-o requires of FFL licensees, it would be no real problem for them to find something to base this on. I won't hold my breath waiting for them to actually give us any credible information on why they did this. I agree with Anon, probably political.

    1. Yeah, all those burdensome rules like maintaining proof that all the guns you sold went to qualified people.

  3. Alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives should be a convenience store, not a government agency.
