Are you suggesting that PoliceOne is an unbiased source of information on gun rights? How could those numbers be so divergent from those of the proper pollsters?
Easy--what you call proper pollsters are people who call up many who are uninformed and ask, "Should we require every sale of a gun to go through a background check?" The police know what is really going on. They deal with reality every day.
But you're the one who insists that cops support gun control. I'm showing you that they don't.
Actually, the data of more than 15,000 police officer respondents at www.policeone.com website doesn't tell us whether or not police officers favor gun control. What it does tell us is that virtually all police officers believe gun control will NOT reduce violent crime.
This is an interesting result because police officers are actually out in the real world dealing with real criminals on the streets every day.
1. Police opinion on the question of basic rights isn't relevant in a free society.
2. Police opinion on the effectiveness of a particular effort to reduce violence is relevant.
3. Besides, we've told you before that the majority of officers, not political appointees, support gun rights. I raise that only because you seem to think that their opinion on rights matters.
Told ya.
ReplyDeleteSo much for that "We will Bury You" crap. Glad to see you're getting help for your delusions.
ReplyDeleteMikeb, you like to talk about how police support your proposals. Have you seen this?

Sorry, I don't believe it.
DeleteBut, what's really funny is not all of a sudden the gun-rights fanatics love the cops and value their opinion.
