Of course, you see racism here. To a leftist, racism is anything that doesn't conform to the leftist agenda. But instead of your reflexive reaction, how about reading what they actually said.
Yeah, because white NRA members never make the argument that laws don't stop criminals from getting guns, and black NRA members never make the argument about decent people needing life and liberty preserving firepower.
If the NRA and Gun Owners of America truly care about the Second Amendment then, they need to grant me membership, acknowledge and advocate for my views on the Second Amendment without me paying any Dues.
Exactly they claim to represent the 2ndAmendment but, they aren't looking out for Gun Owners but Gun Makers and they use the dues of gun owners to advance the political interests of Gun Makers.
the NRA is an almost exclusively white organization.
If you say so, o Psychic One. But what does that "fact" have to do with this notional "racism"? Are you claiming that people of other races are denied membership when they wish to join?
Would it be "racist" of me to ask for evidence supporting such an assertion?
Ah, the old "anyone who allows black members and gives them spokesman roles must be doing it hide how racist they are" argument. I guess you can say the same thing about everyone who voted for Obama.
Actually, TS, many have said exactly that about those who voted for Obama.
Remember that time Ted Nugent spoke to a group of NRA guys and in his blabber-mouth way said if Obama is reelected he'd (Nugent) would either be dead or locked up? Can you remember the look of the crowd, their faces, their red-neck beards and baseball caps, their fat bellies? Do you think blacks are welcome in a crowd like that?
Actually, blacks are welcome. If you had actually gone to the gun shows you claim to, you'd see blacks buying, selling, chatting with whites--including with whites with big guts and beards from the deepest parts of BFE.
Mike, Colion got "adopted" by the NRA as you put it just last year, yet his first video with any kind of political commentary was a year prior to that. And he started posting nonpolitical videos on YouTube in 2011. And his first video of political commentary spoke to violent crime, so the suggestion that there is some sort of racial manipulation by the NRA in who projects what message doesn't ring true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qsCjYjxtTo
The fact that Colion had videos out before he became an NRA spokesman in no way disproves my assertion. The NRA bought him for the express purpose of manipulating their public perception.
Wow. Grab two episode thumbnails and make an extremely sloppy argument that is so obviously cherry picked and nonsensical that a 5 year old could see through it.
Yep, that's par for the course for Laci--and for Mike to stand behind any inanity Laci says.

ReplyDeleteLord, you people are desperate.
If the NRA and Gun Owners of America truly care about the Second Amendment
ReplyDeletethen, they need to grant me membership, acknowledge and advocate for my views on the Second Amendment without me paying any Dues.
Why? Those organizations require dues to be a member. And they advocate for gun rights, not against.
DeleteExactly they claim to represent the 2ndAmendment but, they aren't looking out for Gun Owners but Gun Makers and they use the dues of gun owners to advance the political interests of Gun Makers.
DeleteIn the way that a First Amendment advocacy group is protecting book publishers. The interests of gun makers are identical to my interests.
DeleteTed Nugent is a racist and his racist comments are on record. Why do you support the NRA and his racism by sending the NRA your money?
Deletethe NRA is an almost exclusively white organization. They adopted Colion to belie that obvious fact.

DeleteNo, but asking for evidence is counterrevolutionary.

Mikeb, you do have an obsession with bellies.
DeleteMikeB: "Actually, TS, many have said exactly that about those who voted for Obama."
DeleteI know, that's why I brought it up. I hey you thought it was a pretty dumb argument, didn't you?
You can't consider that someone might dislike Obama for his policies instead if his skin color?
What's the explanation for Republicans voting against legislation they voted for and sponsored, before Obama was elected?

DeleteSo mikeb, you believe black people are property?
Possibly the biggest reach for "racism" I've ever seen. Nevermind that Billy Johnson also did an episode on crime and violence.

And the Brady Bunch is so racist they can't even bring themselves to hire a token black.

Isn't that right, mikeb?
