Laci, while they are fun to shoot, full auto fire actually results in fewer casualties with an untrained person. That is one reason that the military eliminated the full auto feature on their M-16/M-4 rifles and limited it to three round burst.
You're right, Laci, I would like one, though feeding the thing would rapidly run into dough. But there's no good reason for them to be so heavily restricted, as Sarge points out.
I read what he said twice now and there's no way you can get this out of it.
"But there's no good reason for them to be so heavily restricted, as Sarge points out."
He may very well believe there's no good reason to restrict them, but that's not what he said in the above comment. When you said "as sarge points out" you were projecting your own twisted ideas onto him.

ReplyDeleteWhen did they do that? Was it after Vietnam?

ReplyDeleteThey were the weapon of choice of the murderous gangs of the prohibition era. Plenty of reason for restrictions.
DeleteThe misuse of something by criminals is no cause for taking that thing away from good citizens.

DeleteIs that what he said? I didn't think so. I think you see what you want to see, Greg.
It's not just criminals. Something you deny even in the face of certain evidence.
DeleteMikeb, did you read what he said about the full-auto feature?
DeleteMany "tools" of criminals are illegal for law abiding citizens to buy, or posses.
