Arizona 3-Year-old Shoots Himself in the Stomach - No One Held Accountable Yet

A 3-year-old boy is in the hospital having emergency surgery Monday after being shot in a home near Amado, Pima County Sheriffs deputies said.
He was flown to University of Arizona Medical Center where he has undergone surgery and remains in critical condition as of 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Deputies responded to the home in the 26900 block of S. Monarch Way Monday afternoon. Detectives with the Crimes Against Children and Homicide units are on scene, Pima County Sheriff's deputy Tracy Suitt said.
A search warrant is being served at the home, sources said.
Suitt says a call to 911 was made about an accidental shooting in the area.

    And that doesn't indicate to you that this is being taken very seriously? It's "special treatment" if someone doesn't go to jail right now? Have they even established whose gun was involved?

  2. There is nothing unique about a firearm involved in this case. It would be wrong for a parent to leave a chain saw running for children to walk into. And it is wrong for parents to leave a loaded firearm accessible to children. The criminal justice system should charge the parents and/or the firearm owner the same way they would charge the parents and/or firearm owner if they left any other object accessible that harmed the child.
