Bumbling Florida Gun Owner Shoots Himself and a 12-Year-old - Special Treatment Follows

Orlando police say two people were injured in an accidental shooting, including a 12-year-old girl.

Police say a man was at a home handling a firearm when it accidentally went off and shot the man in the thigh.

Police say a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in a car traveling on the same street was also shot in the arm.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating.

  1. He was taken to the hospital instead of straight to jail to bleed out in a cell! Special Treatment! Special Treatment!!!

  2. Where exactly is the special treatment? An investigation is being done. To you, if someone isn't immediately taken to a slaughterhouse for processing into Soylent Green, that's special treatment.

  4. The special treatment is in the necessity for a lengthy investigation prior to charging him. This is total bullhsit. When a black guy, like we've seen recently does it, he goes to the slammer immediately. When an ex-felon does it, he's busted on the spot. But when one of you so-called lawful gun owners does it, you often receive special treatment.

    1. Because being a felon in possession of a firearm is itself a crime. That one is easy to determine.

    2. And by the way--these stories that tell us that the person arrested is a felon? That shows that the police are checking.

    3. And if they made no mention of the person being a felon that does not mean they never checked. In fact, Mike will use the omission of "felon in possession" charge to title the post "lawful gun owner..." But if they don't say they had a CCW, Mike says that means no one checked.

    4. Sometimes they check, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the information the check is lacking.

    5. Mikeb, you cling to this idea that the police don't follow standard procedure, but you also cling to the hope that the same police will be able to enforce gun control. Curious, that.

    6. Then you should stop your wildly liberal use of "lawful gun owner" label. Maybe they just didn't check.

    7. "Lawful gun owner" needs to be widely used, or did you say wildly? Remember, it includes all the hidden criminals.
