Chuck Norris on the 2nd Amendment

Town Hall published an op-ed by the famous martial arts champion about the multiple-sales-reporting requirement. I think old Chuck has as much legal expertise as I do.

Obama's Department of Justice essentially is amending the Second Amendment by changing the rules for gun sales in border states.
Does that sound right to you? AMENDING the Second Amendment? Is that exaggeration for emphasis, what is that?

He goes on to pull out the usual pro-gun suggestion that all this reporting-of-multiple-sales nonsense is just to divert attention from the Fast and Furious case. I don't buy it.

Naturally, the fact that lawful buyers of multiple weapons will not be prevented or harmed in any way, but the straw buyers and gun smugglers with clean records would be detected. Much good and no harm would be the result. Yet, Chuck says this.

The Obama administration is trying to not only eliminate our Second Amendment rights but also demonize good, law-abiding American gun dealers and citizens in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It is not only smuggling its guns but also trying to take ours. And I, for one, am not going to sit back and just watch it happen.
God, guns and guts made America. Let's keep all three.
What's your opinion? Does Chuck Norris sound even wackier than his buddy? That's what I think.

  1. Chuck Norris never got over having his ass handed to him by Bruce Lee.

He's a one trick pony as an actor; he's a shill for a "personal fitness" scam, he's a sanctimonious, KKKristianist piece of shit--and he excels at all of those things.

What he's likely NOT is a fine legal mind. It's hard to tell if he or his ghostwriter is the one who shovels out the tripe that's under his byline.

  2. Heller-McDonald allowed registration and laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.

    Don't blame it on Obama!

  3. He should have substituted “Gun Control Act of 1968” for “Second Amendment”. That is what is being violated.

  4. The reporting of multiple sales isn't a diversion from Fast and Furious. It's the other way around.

Fast and Furious was used to create justification for the reporting of multiple sales. It's the Rahm Emanuel Doctrine of "never let a tragedy go to waste" with the corollary of "if necessary, create a tragedy."

  5. Wow, AztecRed, that's a new take on it.

But don't you agree this is over the top?

Not nearly as over the top as the claims that guns bought at American gun stores are a significant source of guns for the cartels.
