Its sort of amusing that a website called "Fuck Conservatives" would post an interview where the Democrat being interviewed comes out and says that the percentage of republicans against bombing in Syria is higher than the percentage of democrats.
I noticed that too. The explanation is obvious, inexplicable Obama hatred. Those guys oppose anything Obama wants, even if it means an absurd reversal in roles for everybody involved.
So you're saying that if the republicans oppose the bombing they are doing it only to oppose the president and not making an informed decision. However if the democrats are opposing the bombing of Syria, that they are making a good decision. Or it could be that the President is making a bad decision and based on logic and past experience, everyone is making a good (IMHO) logical decision to oppose bombing. The republicans voting in favor, are stereotypical hawk types, and democrats are falling back on party loyalty to make their voting decisions.
Ah, yes! That must be it! Not that some people have learned the errors of their ways after 8 years of Bush or that new people like Cruz and Paul have been elected by people who don't want to see us wasting money, time, and lives in unnecessary wars.
Why, if that was the case, we'd see those new Republicans opposing this war while the establishment Republicans, like Boehner and McCain--who supported Bush's wars, supported getting involved here.
Which is why they voted to give him another 4 years and brag about all the good they're going to do when they get one of this cabinet secretaries elected for the 8 years after his term.
Apparently it hasn't evolved much since you still talk about "inexplicable" Obama hatred and still brag about how either Hillary or Elizabeth Warren are going to make great leaders for the next 8 years after Obama.
I'm sure is former secretary of state won't start the same kind of wars.
(Of course, that all assumes that he doesn't accidentally touch off WW3 and get to stay in office for several terms because "you don't change horses mid stream.")
Grayson names all the usual leftist suspects--the United Nations, the Arab League, international courts and so forth--as the ones who should be dealing with this. He's right in one respect: They should be doing something. But typically for such groups, all they're doing is talking. Studying. Wringing their hands. So the question we're left with is whether we'll act alone or leave the situation to itself.
Greg, you're having a bit of trouble with the truth again. Those hand-wringers you mentioned are doing more then just talking. Some of them are strenuously advising against war. So the question is not what you said, it's whether or not we'll start another war on a mistake, like Grayson said.

What about inexplicable Obama love? Why are so many Democrats willing to throw out their principles and support his war?
DeleteMost who formerly suffered from inexplicable Obama love have become severely disillusioned.
DeleteWhich is why they voted to give him another 4 years and brag about all the good they're going to do when they get one of this cabinet secretaries elected for the 8 years after his term.
DeleteWell, even now looking back, Obama was definitely better than any of those Republican idiots. But, let's just say my opinion of Obama had evolved.

DeleteLeaving tyrants to kill and oppress their people is what your side is doing. Of course, given your support for gun control, that comes as no surprise.
DeleteLeaving tyrants to kill and oppress is what the vast majority of Republican Congressmen want. Aren't you paying attention?
DeleteHave you forgotten that I have no more respect for the Republican Party than I have for the Democrats?
DeleteWhy are you criticizing Republicans who agree with you?
DeleteIt's a reflex--he can't help it.
DeleteKinda like how he'll keep reflexively voting for the democrats even though the start these kinds of wars too.
