What I said was a foreign enemy national that is committing an act of war against the U.S. has no rights. I don't care if it is on a foreign battlefield or he sneaks across our border to do it.
I don't understand all that jingoistic nonsense about denying rights to people who are not citizens. They're people. The gun rights folks are so quick to point out that you can't deny people rights when it's about their owning guns, but so quick to deny others the same thing.
The fact that the liberal viewer and I would disagree on anything is not much of a leap.
ReplyDeleteWait FWM, so you're saying that anyone in this country that is NOT a U.S. citizen has no rights?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous.
Mike W,

How do you decide that someone is "a foreign enemy national that is committing an act of war against the U.S."?
ReplyDeleteI think we should give non-citizens the same rights they have in their native country.
ReplyDeleteProblem solved.
