This is the controversial sign, which was ordered removed by the city of Phoenix. Maybe the city officials feel that "Guns Cost Lives," would be more accurate.
Hey, Arizona had LESS murders this year than last year. Man, if that ain't proof that guns save li... oh, wait, suicides don't count 'cuz they're not murders. There were only another 400 or so of those by handgun last year.
For some reason I can't find the number of lives "saved by gun" in any of the AZ crime statistics that I've looked at. You would think that even if those lazy, donut eating, coffee swilling cops were too "busy" to compile the stats that the AZ chapter of the NRA would do the numbers. Maybe they didn't bother 'cuz the number is statistically negligible.
FWM, was that debunked by the same sources you know that debunk climate change? Please state where it is debunked so we can verify it for ourselves rather than take your word.
He doesn't really need to. You see, if hundreds of justifiable homicids a year are "statistially negligable" then what are a couple dozen accidental discharges over the decades that the most popular bolt action rifle has been in production?
I can understand any city that wants to prohibit a sign like that. "Guns save lives" in a big red heart, carries a much bigger message than advertising for the local range. A lot of us think that's as damaging a message as many another that is not protected by Sacred Amendments.
I'm not really sure why the billboard was taken down, to be honest. But the big red heart with "Guns Save Lives" is pretty hilarious. Reminds me of that old history of of America from Bowling For Columbine, and the "Ah luhves mah gunz" quote.
What I think is that the taxpayers are going to be paying a lot of money to that organization when it is done.

Guns save lives, as long as they aren't a Remington Model 700 hunting rifle, which apparently go off if you look at them wrong.
ReplyDeleteSo much for that "guns don't kill people" meme.
Lets not let those Second Amendment crazies exercise their First.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
ReplyDeleteBeale quotes a debunked anti gun piece by CNBC.

ReplyDeleteI have to love it when anti-gun folks come out so blatantly against free speech.

Yup, even though they've gone to permitless carry. Where's all the blood in the streets you anti's always predict, huh Demo?
