Officer John Thompson and three of his five children were in the F Street home about noon when the boy, Gavin, apparently went off on his own, found the pistol Thompson kept in a closet and accidentally shot himself once.

No more guns for this guy is what I say. What about you, what do you think? Is prison appropriate for a guy like that with four other kids to support?
