Looks like these protesters were well aware of the false and inaccurate characterization of them, including grossly inaccurate numbers, promoted by Fox Fraudcast and other Murdoch media propagandists. Geraldo Rivera claims he didn't leave with his tail between his legs, but clearly from this footage, he appears to be somewhat daunted by the chanting of the crowd and gives up and leaves as a result. The length of time that the chanting continued, and the number of people engaged in it argues for a remarkable level of energy and determination on the part of the protesters.
Had Fox been even remotely the fair and balanced media they claim in their motto, I believe that they would have given the reporters from those outlets a very different reception. It is a measure of right-wing hypocrisy and double standards and double dealing that Fox promoted the Tea Party group events as grass roots when they were not, and as peaceful despite evidence of a different intent reflected in their placards, while reviling the obviously peaceful Occupy Wall Street protesters.
This movement is NOT going away, it is far more genuinely grass roots and far larger than the tea party ever was at its largest point. If this continues, as it appears it will, it represents a new and important factor in the next election cycle. And it is going to be a factor that Fox News and the other propagandists on the right are not going to be able to spin easily.

Maybe Geraldo should go back to opening empty parts of basements associated with dead and gone gangsters. That moment back in the 80's was perhaps less embarrassing than this point in his career with the Wall Street protesters.

citing smears made by not only Murdoch press but by other right wing media, from the UK. My bet is that the daily mail doesn't even have anyone reporting on the scene but are just making it up as they go. For example the daily mail shows a photo they claim represents a protester pooping on a cop car. What we don't know is if this is someone the photographer put up to posing for such a photo...but there is no poo in evidence to support that conclusion. It could as easily be someone dropping trou for a quick moment out of site of the cops to create this kind of photo.
Even the daily mail admits that the protesters have tried to be clean:"despite the best efforts of many of the protesters to keep the area clean."
So as the numbers of protesters continue to increase over this extended period of time, the protesters in cooperation with the cities, may have to make more permanent sanitation arrangements such as porta-potties to accomodate such large numbers of people, as well as more garbage pick up. This is not a fair condemnation of the protesters but rather an acknowledgement that there are a lot of people there, and that they appear to be planning to be there for a long time to come. That many people creates refuse, it does not however mean they are dirty or not law abiding or not decent, as the right wing media would like to contend.
Since they can't point to any violence, they are falling back on any pretext for criticism regardless of how unfair or inaccurate that they dream up.

I'm laughing at the ridiculous crap spewed by right wing tabloid or tabloid LIKE sources, be it quoting Glenn Beck, or quoting the Daily Post (a Murdoch publication not noted for its accuracy), or the tabloids from the UK.

so......even the right wing extremists can't make up their minds if these protests are racist or not, LOL!
I haven't yet been able to find anything which suggests open air sex, only photos of people sleeping under covers together, which is not the same thing. And even the allegations of drug users seem not to be about protesters, but rather about spectators who are wandering around the protesters but who do not consider themselves to be protesters.
