Testing, testing, hey, is this thing on?

This is a test of the dDAS (democommie Daily Aggravation System).  If this was the real thing there would be some splenetic invective dripping over the edges of the screed.  This is only a test.

Thanks for asking me to come and join the group, Mikebe302000.  I wish I could guarantee that I will be as polite as dog gone and as knowledgeable as all of you on the arts and the law AND as tolerant of the misanthropes who equate carrying a gun everywhere they go with being a good citizen.  Something tells me I will fail to be able to fill these lofty goals but I soldier on.

I'm working on something for a real post, but that may take a few days.  In the meantime, enjoy the fine posting of Mikeb302000, dog gone, Laci The Dog and JadeGold.

I agree. Must be a sock puppet.

  4. Welcome Democommie to the group. I would like to add that the invitation was unanimously supported for you to join us here.

Jim, FWM, while I'm sure your comments were intended to be humorous - and they WERE funny, thanks for the chuckle - I would like to reiterate that anyone who seriously tries to represent themselves as someone else who posts here is in violation of the terms of service of our platform host, Blogger/blogspot/google, and probably their IP's terms of service as well.

Over on Penigma there was a recent hate speech type of comment directed to me that was first caught by my blogging partner there. I did follow up with the IP, and they did pursue it. Should anyone ever behave similarly in a manner which is in violation of terms of service here, I will do so again.

  5. Perhaps Democommie has more than one personality. One thing for certain is the I'll never be invited to write guest articles here. . .

  6. Yeah, Greg, we prefer people who can think their way out of a wet papersack or pour piss out of a boot if the instructions are on the bottom--both of which I doubt you could do.

I also have no illusions about changing the minds of people like Greg Camp and I don't have any genuine concern about it. It is fun to watch him and friends twist themselves into pretzels trying to justify one self-contradiction with another.

So, watching you make a dickhead of yourself is great fun, Greg.

I think you misunderstand Greg; democommie has been invited to be a full co-blogger here, with admin privileges, the whole nine yards.

He is not simply a guest author, which I interpret to be a one-time invitation.

But I will surprise you, and offer to post an article written by you if you like, in full, so long as it does not violate the terms of service under which we operate here. You should be well aware before attempting such an endeavor that we would critique such an effort in the same analytical detail that we apply to your comments.

But my email is on the blog; send it to me, and I'll post it here for you, giving you all the credit you can handle as author.

  9. dog gone:

    Thank you.

    Jim and FatWhiteMan;

Believe it or not, I only swear in about 98% of my posts and comments, okay, I was fucking lying about that.

I will start to think about limiting the use of noffensive language when other people in the discussion stop trying to justify the insanity of letting people who already have serious problems with anger management, or obeying the law, have unfettered access to gunz.

I don't eat steak and pork chops because I hate chicken. I eat steak and pork chops because I LOVE fat. Then again, nobody's ever been killed by being hit with a pork chop--afaia.

To think that the same people who worry about being attacked on their way to the grocery store, while having a cup of coffee at Starbucks, at a bar, in a movie theater or at an athletic event will feel safer if EVERYBODY haz gunz would be to think as delusionally as they do.

  10. Democommie and Laci the Dog,

Did you two do a mind meld? You're using the same language to sing the same tune. I'm just waiting for Laci to discover the letter Z.

  11. I would have expected that inquiry of Laci and I before Laci and Democommie...

    That shouldn't be too difficult.

demo - according to the BBC, Mozart was possibly killed by eating a pork chop. Not quite the same as having one thrown at you, but still we better look into registering these as dangerous weapons.

  14. Jim:

Lotsa folks been killed by pork rinds, pork chops, fatback, pork belly, ham with redeyd gravy, hog jowls, spare ribs, pork loin--but they had to commit "suicide by dining".

I am, for some reason, yearnin' for some pigmeat! I'll be back, later!

  15. Dog Gone,

No, you're arrogant and dismissive, but you do tend to behave like an aristocratic lady. (Those may all be one in the same. . .)

  16. And, Greg, you are pretty ignorant.

But considering where you come from, you are probably one of the more intelligent people around.

But, that's not hard in your neck of the woods.

I'd probably be considered a genius in your parts!

  17. Laci the Dog,

So you want the arrogant label, too? Considering where I come from? Would you like to clarify that remark?
