Newport Beach Mall Shooting - No One Injured

The New York Daily News reports
Scared shoppers at a Southern California mall scrambled for cover Saturday as about 50 gunshots popped off in the parking lot, forcing a lockdown of stores before police ultimately nabbed the gunman.

No one was wounded in the terrifying display, and police didn’t immediately say what led suspect Marcos Gurrola, 42, of Garden Grove to open fire at the swanky Fashion Island mall in Orange County’s Newport Beach.
The whole country has gone gun crazy.  Either they're shooting up the place, or justifying why others do or they're walking on egg-shells just waiting for the sound of gunfire.

For this we can thank the NRA and its fanatical adherents.

  1. I wonder weather the U.S. meets the international criteria for designation as a war zone? Such would imply that at least the Federal Government is a failed State due to the lack of basic protection that it fails to provide it's citizens with.

    1. E.N., if you're a state actor, to use your favorite phrase, you're close to an act of war with that comment. If you're a U.S. citizen, you're bordering on treason. Regardless, you're a fool. The U.S. government provides adequate protection to the citizens of this nation. We are at peace, despite what the gun control freaks want to claim. Your inability to understand frequency is no justification for taking away anyone's rights.

And by the way, the word that you were looking for is "whether."

    2. "act of war" and "treason" Greg, what are you blabbing about, man?

    3. He, whether under the name of E.N. or Black Cap, has called for foreign intervention to remove firearms from American citizens. That means an invasion by a foreign military. If he works for a foreign government, that's an act of war. If he's a U.S. citizen, that's treason.

    4. Greg are martians in on it too? What about the masons? Tell us of you other delusions of conspiracy?

    5. Black-e Cap-n, if Martians exist, they're no more advanced than bacteria, and the Masons are a benevolent organization. Don't try to divert attention from your own foolishness by compounding it.

  2. The whole country, Mikeb? Would you define that in terms of percent of the total population? How about percent of gun owners?

But more importantly, this happened in the Brady Bunch's gold star state. It was also in the southern part of that state, noted for being particularly strict about guns. How is this even possible? Could it be that gun control doesn't work?

    1. Oh, and Democommie, note how a statement can be implied in a question.
