As to whether she’ll run for the White House, however, Clinton said she’s still mulling it because there’s “a cost to everything.”
The former secretary of state, who would be the Democratic frontrunner in 2016 should she run, was delivering the keynote address at a conference held by the National Council for Behavioral Health, an organization that focuses on mental health.
“We have to rein in what has become [an] almost article of faith, that anybody can own a gun anywhere, anytime. And I don’t believe that,” she said, as applause drowned her out.

ReplyDeleteGolly, you mean like its a right? Like in the Constitution? Its pretty amusing that when some groups say much the same thing except the word gun is replaced with "get to vote" or "marry who we wish" it becomes a terrible thing.
"Clinton, who argued it was possible to hold her position and still support the right to gun ownership, warned that unfettered access to guns could have dangerous consequences."
As long as TOO many people don't exercise that right. Mike has his magic number of 50%, I wonder what number Ms. Clinton has in her head. Is it really a right if only 50% get to exercise it? I believe the last time that was the case was before women won the right to vote.
Again we have similarities. You hear the same utterances from those that would wish to restrict the right to vote or marriage
In theory, it could very well be a right if only the truly qualified and responsible are allowed to exercise it. But, as you well know, I don't believe the 2A is valid in today's society.
