It does seem like some weird timing that right on election day, but it seems that 64,000 pages of documents relating to Fast and Furious have been released. This was stuff that the President, up till now, prevented from being released by invoking Executive Privilege. It will be interesting to see how things heat up as this information comes to light. Saying, "look at the cheap gas" isn't going to work. Wasn't there another President who did this sort of thing to keep the people from knowing? I don't want to mention any names, but I think his initials were Nixon.
Buried quite intentionally in the wall-to-wall media coverage of the Republican “wave” election of 2014 was a “document dump” of more than 64,000 documents that the Obama Administration hid for years regarding the Department of Justice’s gun-running plot to Mexican narco-terrorists known as Operation Fast and Furious.
"After years of legal battles between the House Oversight Committee and Attorney General Eric Holder, 64,280 redacted Operation Fast and Furious documents held under President Obama’s assertion of executive privilege since 2012, have been turned over by the Department of Justice after an order from U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson. The Justice Department was originally ordered to turn over a list of documents, better known as a Vaughn Index, with explanations as to why documents fall under executive privilege claims by November 1."
The lies Bush told were much more serious than the lies Nixon told and killed 10's of thousands of innocent people, some say 100's of thousands. To try and claim Obam's lies are worse than Bush's lies just shows how partisan, or stupid you are. Not to mention we know both sides do that crap, so why are you being so immature trying to play the "gotcha" game? It's all you do on this site and why you have no validity in what you say.

Why am I not surprised you threw Bush into the argument here again. Do you really want to bring Viet Nam into this?
"In April 1963, Kennedy assessed the situation in Vietnam: "We don't have a prayer of staying in Vietnam. Those people hate us. They are going to throw our asses out of there at any point. But I can't give up that territory to the communists and get the American people to re-elect me"."
"Estimates of the number of casualties vary, with the Vietnamese government suggesting as many as 3.1 million violent war deaths, Vietnamese and foreigners, soldiers included."
Be that as it may, Anon's throwing Bush out there as a defense to any perceived criticism gets pretty old. Its like when one of my kids says that their punishment is unjust because someone else did it and wasn't punished. And the use of good or bad events to distract voters from their own shortcomings isn't exactly unknown in either party. As can be seen by approval numbers that come out regularly, it doesn't seem to be working for him any better than with other Presidents.
Of course you have to go back to before you were born to find an equal crime. Lets just stick with your lifetime and the criminal you supported. If you want to go back further you will find Republicans still hold title to the most corrupt politicians. Nixon, TR, Coolidge, and more. You continue to lose this "gotcha" game you play, because it is a losing game. I guess that's why you have to lie.
"Of course you have to go back to before you were born to find an equal crime."
Perhaps I should be flattered that you think me so young Anon. I first enlisted in the Army in 74. In fact, Nixon was my Commander in Chief for just under a month. What makes you believe I supported President Bush? Just because I worked for him? Using that criteria, I also supported Ford, Carter, Reagan, both Bush's, Clinton, and of course our current President.
Because you are a military kill guy and have proven it over and over again. That was Bush's forte. "Be that as it may, Anon's throwing Bush out there as a defense to any perceived criticism gets pretty old" If using Bush gets old then your using Vietnam is even older. At least my Bush example is less than 10 years ago. Vietnam was LBJ's lie, not Kennedy's. Your "gotcha" debate tactics make you look like the hypocrite fool you are. Try a more rational level of discussion.
Oh, it's true. So very true!
ReplyDeleteBut I never heard any of that on Fox News.
DeleteIt takes a special kind of idiot to try to paint a rosy picture of the results of the Mocha Presidents time in office.

And Roosevelt knew the Pearl Harbor attack was coming and allowed it.
