    8. Mike, are you referring to owning? Or possessing? This video revolves around children possessing firearms with the parents permission. Here is current Minnesota law,

"Minors 13 years old and younger must be supervised when handling a firearm. At age 14 and 15, a minor may possess a shotgun or rifle without supervision if the minor has a firearms safety certificate. At age 16 and 17, a minor may possess a shotgun or rifle without supervision or a certificate."

    9. I think the word "own" was clear. But you go off on your own point, which didn't answer the question, usual for you.

    10. Well Anon, if you want to talk about the ownership rights of a minor, the question would be, if you take something away from your child, can that child call the police and have you charged with theft? Keep in mind that if you had listened to the video, it stated that the purpose of the law is to eliminate issues with minors participating in shooting sports.

    11. It sounds like Minnesota is a bit more restrictive than Alabama. Is that how you see it?

    12. Well Mike, at the end of the day, it all revolves around the parent deciding.
Currently, Alabama is much more restrictive than Minnesota because there is no allowance under the law for minors to possess firearms. So this bill is an attempt to allow it with parental permission. And if later, the law needs to be tweaked, they can do that too.
