  3. I think he got it pretty squarely.

But Maybe Jade will do us a favor and make an ass out of himself with a 3rd Amendment post!

  4. I'm waiting for the biblical justification of the 3rd Amendment. I'm sure they've got it, just like they have that extensive one about the 2nd. Where's Bob S. when we need him?

  6. Maybe Laci can tell us how it only applies to quartering troops in a government building or some other such collective rights notion.

  7. You mean something along the lines of fear of standing armies?

That makes more sense than that the second amendment allows for people to wage war against the government.

    Essay test for FWM:
Explain how the Second Amendment invalidates Article III, Section iii of the US constitution?

Likewise note how US State Constitutions mention Standing armies in regard to these topics-- e.g., The Current PA State Constitution:

    Right to Bear Arms
    Section 21.
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
Standing Army; Military Subordinate to Civil Power
    Section 22.
No standing army shall, in time of peace, be kept up without the consent of the Legislature, and the military shall in all cases and at all times be in strict subordination to the civil power.
    Quartering of Troops
    Section 23.
No soldier shall in time of peace be quartered in any house without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Try not to drool all over yourself FWM.
