Didn't somebody say something about 2006 in this clip? Given the amount of money spent on Iraq and Afghanistan and the budget cuts in the UK, I doubt the government would invade the US even if it wanted. And that's with the Joint Defence agreement the UK just signed with the French.
Although, if the woman who brought about the Australian Gun ban is behind this, the US gun crowd has a lot to worry about. Aussie gun culture is incredibly similar to that in the US, yet it didn't take too long to have a radical change in their gun laws after Martin Bryant went nuts at Port Artur. With someone who has that much (fill in the blank) behind changing US gun laws, we would see a similar change.
Although, my opinion is that any change in US gun laws will be much more insidious and has already begun with Heller-McDonald.
To me it conjures up images of stormtroopers with red and white no-gun patches on their uniforms going house to house confiscating weapons, all weapons.
Is that what you mean by "global ban on guns?"
Believe it or not, I don't support that. I've never written anything to suggest I do. But, that doesn't stop you from hounding us with the question, does it?
Weerd: It's not so much the type of firearms as the qualifications of those seeking to own those guns.
With that qualifier, I see no reason for civilians to own assault weapons and/or military-grade automatic weapons. But to reiterate, it's not so much the weapon as the person wielding it.
Wouldn't you like that?
ReplyDeleteSo what is the paranoia part?

The NRA needs an enemy for bilking their membership.
ReplyDeletePeters fits that bill perfectly; she's a foreigner and a woman. Two things that aging fat white males hate.

ReplyDeleteWhy do you hate women and foreigners?
Ignoring my question?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't a Global ban on guns make you guys happy?
Actually, I am kind of fond of women. Not Rebecca Peters though.
ReplyDeleteJust 'cause I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me :)
ReplyDeleteWhat does "global ban on guns" mean exactly?

Hmm, anti-gun ?
Not anti-illegal guns.
Not anti guns used in crime.
Nope you said -- anti-gun. Not much wiggle room is there Mikey?
Weerd: Perhaps you'd care to tell us what or where the lie is?
ReplyDeleteThe fact is no no one has called for a total ban on guns.
So what guns are you 100% OK with people owning, Jade?

ReplyDeleteSan Francisco, 2005. Look it up if you have to.
I trust you, Jade, as you're such a man of your word. *snicker*
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, You got me dead to rights. There is not much wiggle room in my saying this is an "anti-gun blog."
ReplyDeleteYou're such an investigator. This proves that I'm totally inconsistent with what I write, even about myself.
You win, my man.
