Guns in Bars - Long Island Style

One dead, one wounded, that's the toll.  If it's bad for criminals to have guns in bars, why would anyone think it's a good idea for the law-abiding?  Isn't the problem mixing guns with alcohol?

  1. But I thought it WAS illegal to bring a gun to a bar in NY.

Isn't the problem mixing society with alcohol?

Surely it's bar culture. This whole environment that attracts lonely people who need social lubricant to attract mates just leads to love trysts, frustration, disappointment and feelings of sexual inadequacy.

Additionally, I'm sure all the above has been linked by some Joyce-funded researcher to gun ownership.

The same reason why we don't lock up the law-abiding.

Guns in bars and restaurants is legal in many states and isn't a problem.

  3. Impossible: guns are banned in NY and Chicago bars and criminals obey the law.

  4. My point is, if guns were allowed in bars, like in some backwater states, there'd be more incidents like this. You'd have the criminals doing their business as usual plus you'd have that infinitesimally rare lawful gun owner doing it too.
