Ted Nugent Calls Semi-Automatic Weapons Machine Guns

This old video was posted in response to Nugent's saying he was the victim of Lefty threats. What I liked was the final observation by Rack Jite.

BTW, for any gungoons, Ted Nugent himself claims he is holding "machine guns".
Isn't that a riot. Not only is Ted a disgracefully foul individual, an embarrassment really, but he made the same mistake that is ridiculed no end when gun control folks make it. He called semi-automatic weapons machine guns.

What's your opinion?  Please leave a comment.

Because Ted Nugent is awesome and gun control folks aren't.

  2. Nugent isn't awesome; he's a slimy poser.

This simply underlines the double standard, subjective rather than objective rationales employed by gun nuts like you RedAz.

  3. He's a simple bastard and simple bastards say stupid shit like he did.

  4. So how do you know they are not machine guns?

  5. Besides you two guess who else took issue with that Nuge rant? Glenn Beck. How does it feel to agree with and think like Glenn Beck?

  6. I think his remarks were probably taken out of context. We should give him the benefit of the doubt. Screaming about killing democratic politicians is just plain old fun. Lighten up. He's a crowd-pleaser. He's an awesome entertainer.

What a waste of guitars. He should donate them to a school and STFU.

  7. It's pure stinking steaming hypocrisy when Beck objects to Nugent, given some of his statements in the past - the ones about killing Pelosi comes to mind.

Maybe Beck is jealous that Nugent is cutting into his lunatic fringe audience. I wonder how many of those who threatened that young 16 year old girl with rape and death, the one who challenged Bachmann to a debate are also big fans of Nugent and Beck? I'd bet all of them.

Beck is on his way out the door, having lost the majority of his advertisers. Who cares any more what Beck says? He's so over; stick a fork in him, he's done, and freeze dried like his overpriced survival crap that he pimps to his lunatic base.

Of course there is a double standard. You should have two different standards for friends and foes. I'm more forgiving of my friends than I am of my foes.

  9. Ted Nugent is a hack. He's a bully, a coward and lying sack of shit. I can see where Aztec Red and his gunzloonz buddiez would thing that Teddy Teabagger is awesome. When I think of Ted it's more like, "Aw, shit!".

  10. AztecRed, Thanks for an honest response. Ted's "awesome" and he's "a friend," so you cut him some slack. That's pretty bad but by admitting it you lessen its gravity. Well played.

  11. What RedAz is telling us MikeB, is that he is just as happy as he could be when one of his friends or right wing celebrities advocates gun violence.

It is when people like you and I object, or argue that people who talk up wanting to commit gun violence for fun perhaps shouldn't have guns if they want to do that or point out that they shouldn't want to commit gun violence that we encounter a problem.

Because apparently Redaz doesn't have a problem with gun violence against political targets?

Or he does, but he hates to admit it.

Because then his gun nut friends would turn on him and he wouldn't be in their club anymore.

  12. So tell us how you know he did not have "machine guns"? Wasn't that the whole premise of this post?

As far as the remarks he made, I don't think he was threatening with violence as much as making a crude remark using a gun as an extension of his penis. I thought you anti gunners were all about gun owners using guns as an extension of their penis?

  13. "using a gun as an extension of his penis"

    As do so many gunzloonz.

And is it okay if he just uses his real penis when he threatens Ms. Pelosi or Mr. Obama. No, he probably has to have the gunz or they'd point and laugh.

Try to keep open flames away from that straw man.

  15. Aha, once again it's the gun rights guy he brings uip the penis first.

I agree those stupid remarks were not so much threats to harm politicians as they were just stupid remarks.

As to how I know the guns were not really machine guns, I don't. I'm taking an educated guess based on what all you gun experts have always said about maching guns.

What's your point, FWM? Did Ted really have fully auto weapons?

  16. "What's your point, FWM? Did Ted really have fully auto weapons?"

I don't know. Where did you get the information that they were not full auto? That was the whole title and point of the post was it not?

Oh, and your welcome for the penis reference.

  17. Who cares he has first amendment rights, he can make a fool of himself, no one is required to take him seriously/listen.

  18. MikeB: “As to how I know the guns were not really machine guns, I don't. I'm taking an educated guess based on what all you gun experts have always said about maching guns.”

And that is that the average person can not afford them. Ted Nugent can afford them. Whether he has a machine gun, a semi-auto, or a fake prop, who knows, who cares? It was just an onstage rant.

  19. Screaming at the top of his lungs for the president to "suck on his machine gun," is not harmless. Gun in mouth = murder.

As far as I'm concerned he should be locked up for the rest of his natural life. But republicans think it's cool to joke about killing Obama so I guess he gets a pass. He obviously does from the comments on this very thread. The idea is to get some unstable wingnut like Loughner to actually go off the deep end and then kill democratic politicians. Nobody can tell me otherwise.

  20. I'm with you, Flying Junior. That kind of talk does serious harm.

  21. Teabag Teddy had machine guns, y'know, fully automatic weppins at a concert? I'll bet the insurance agency that underwrites that place will be asking some questions of management the next time Teddy comes to town.
