Alabama Man Shoots Himself Accidentally - No Charges

A Vestavia Hills man has been transported to the hospital following what appears to be an accidental shooting.

At approximately 1 p.m. this afternoon, authorities responded to the 1800 block of Laurel Road in response to a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The man appears to have shot himself accidentally, said Gilham. No other injuries were reported.

    2. But notice how the police used the word "appears" in their statement.

    3. So deception and word twisting is agreeable with you?
      How can it "appear" to be anything without evidence gathered through a good investigation?

    4. No, the officer isn't being deceptive. Things can appear one way, and the officer can declare what that is. The word, appear, makes it clear that this is a tentative assessment.

    5. He's making a claim without evidence. Something a good cop should not do.

    6. "Appears" is like "allegedly," they don't mean shit.
