Bumbling Gun Owner in Washington State Shoots His Girlfriend by Accident - No Problem - It Was an Accident

Local news reports

A Mountlake Terrace woman was taken to the hospital Monday after her husband reportedly shot her by accident, police said.
The woman, 20, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with injuries to her abdomen and leg. They weren't considered life threatening, Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen said.
The bullet grazed the woman and was recovered from a chest drawer.
Her husband, 22, recently received the handgun as a gift.
"He was trying to secure it to put it away into a small safe," Hansen said.

  1. I guess that this is proof positive that the worst possible gift ever you could give to someone you love would be a gun. If some son-of-a-bitch ever gave me a gun, the first thing I would do would be to righteously kick his ass. After, I made sure that he didn't have a gun.

    1. Proving that while I could be polite to you, I never really could be your friend.

    2. What? You could never be a friend to someone who doesn't want to own a gun?

    3. You can't even be polite to people. Your treatment of Sally proves that.

    4. It's not the decision not to own a gun that is a problem for me. It's his attitude about gun ownership. I respect it, but I don't want to spend too much time with it.

    5. No apology for Sally?
No one wants to be a friend of a jack ass like you.

    6. Lying jerks don't apologize. I'm not waiting for one, but for the record, he should apologize.

  2. But he was trying to store his gun safely. Mikeb, when are you going to realize that you can't legislate away idiocy?

    1. We can make his idiocy illegal and put him in jail where he cannot hurt anyone else with his idiocy.
