Your petty non-stop gotcha comments are really getting tired. Do you want to answer seriously about the legitimacy of the second and third shots while the guy's back is turned and he's running for his life?
I counted four shots. The first three, robber was orienting gun either at the pharmacist or in his direction while retreating. Still a threat. Shot four was at an armed man moving away, but towards the rest of the store and whatever other customers. You might have an argument with shot four if he was headed out the door.
I just watched it again. I'll give you the first three shots legit. The fourth looked to me like the armed robber's back was turned and he was running for the door. Where else would he have been heading? Put yourself in his position.
I'm just also watched the video again. The door is right behind him. He ran to the right of the view, I'm presuming into the retail area of the pharmacy. Considering he was having to deal with an uncooperative victim who was actually armed, he was likely a bit distracted and didn't intend that direction. While the pharmacist wasn't being actively threatened after shot three, the robber was likely still running armed into the store proper. You can also see that after shot four, he stops shooting and covers the target. This likely means the robber went down. I believe it was also reported that the pharmacist rendered first aid while waiting for police and EMS. This in itself is a bit hazardous since at some point you may be quite close to an armed person. If you recall the video of the shooting you posted of an armed man running from police at a church, after that man went down, the officer didn't approach him at all until other officers arrived. Considering the widespread use of video in stores, I cant help but wonder if there was a camera covering the area where the robber runs to that would eliminate the guessing. For the most part, the pharmacist handled himself and the situation quite well in my opinion. The only person hurt is the one who deserved it. He also impressed me in rendering aid as he did in light of the hazard I mentioned and being able to go from engaging an aggressor to trying to help him live.
Good shoot, both in my eyes and the authorities who have declined to press charges.
ReplyDeleteEven the second and third shot?

DeleteThe ones that show that it often takes multiple gunshot wounds to stop a goblin's bad intentions? Happens all the time, Mikeb.
