Baltimore city police said a 50-year-old man who shot a doctor at Johns Hopkins Hospital Thursday morning also killed himself and his mother a few hours later.
The shooter was tentatively identified Thursday afternoon as Warren Davis, but officials later identified him as Paul Warren Pardus, of Arlington, Va. Police said Pardus apparently used an alias, because the hospital knew him as Warren Davis.
Of course, the usual suspects will be telling us this could have happened with a car idling in a garage.
Wow. A very detailed story. Not detailed enough to back up any of Jades marked bullshit of course.
ReplyDeleteFWM: As you know, I am always right. What part of this post did have a problem with?
ReplyDeleteOh dear--another node in the trickle of anecdotes of "CCW killers." Maybe someday, you'll catch up with this, and this.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, if you're really lucky, the percentage of criminally violent CCW licensees will start to approach the percentage of criminally violent cops.
Jadegold, Thanks for posting about this one. I just read a headline on Yahoo about it which said in part, "gunman dead, situation over."
ReplyDeleteI guess they think that's a comforting observation, when in reality we know the nut cases who are ready to blow and happen to have a gun in their waistband are ever increasing.
State law doesn't allow CCW carry in hospitals.
ReplyDeleteVirginia permits are not valid in Maryland.
Murder and suicide are also illegial.
Therefore this is an impossible story.
Impossible because gun control works, mmmkay?
" FWM: As you know, I am always right. What part of this post did have a problem with?"
ReplyDeleteVan Dyke already took care of it.
Let me get this straight: Out of the 23,947 murders this year, three of them have been committed by a CCW holder, and you think this is remarkable? ME TOO! Pretty good track record when compared with those without one, huh! Just goes to show how safe we CCW holders are when compared to the general public.
ReplyDeleteBTW: I wonder what the stats are on murder VICTIMS? Which group do you think are killed more often: CCW or non-CCW?
Yet, there are those who wish everyone was in the group containing more victims and more perpetrators. Why is that?
But MD has VERY restrictive gun laws, no open carry, no reciprocity with ANY other states and it's near impossible to get a CCW permit.
ReplyDeleteHopkins is also a gun-free zone.
WOW! Look at how well all that awesome gun control worked!
You should be proud MikeB. Not only did you and your ilk not prevent this, you helped make sure that no one else in that hospital had the means to defend themselves.

ReplyDeleteThat is the goal of the anti-freedom crowd--state dependency. Gun control has been proven time and again not to stop crime yet they continue to want it. But then gun control isn't about guns or crime, it is about control. That is the real goal of the anti-freedom crowd.
FWM - And honestly, if you were a criminal like MikeB who carried a gun wouldn't you want all of your potential victims armed.
ReplyDeleteGun Control - It's job security for MikeB, his ilk, and a large number of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (who keep getting convicted of serious crimes)
Jadefool's Biggest (Only?) Cheerleader:
ReplyDelete. . . we know the nut cases who are ready to blow and happen to have a gun in their waistband are ever increasing.
Er . . . we do? How do we know that? Why are we ignoring the reality of steadily falling violent crime, and coming to the . . . remarkable conclusion that violent "nutcases" are growing in number?
Thank you for playing, and dismissed.
Zorro, We know that the number of violent nut cases with guns in their waistband is increasing because gun sales have increased. This type of guy is a subset of the larger group called "gun owners."

And violent crime is decreasing because . . . what--they're "violent, lazy nut cases with guns"?
