Washington State 1-year-old Dead

The case is under investigation, but the officer says the shooting appears to be accidental.

There was a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old, the mom and a loaded rifle within reach. That's what I call a formula for disaster.

What's your opinion? When they say "appears to be accidental," are they saying no charges will be filed? After all it was only an accident.

Please leave a comment.

  1. Well, usually when they say it is under investigation, MikeB, they mean that they are still looking at all the details, and we're not committing to anything one way or another.

Which means charges may be coming, even if it was accidental. It really does depend upon the circumstances, and the laws. Some states have a "child abuse by negligence" law that would cover it.
