Of course they weren't charged. What are they supposed to do, read people's minds?Twenty people face federal firearms charges for participating in a ring that bought more than 700 guns to be smuggled into Mexico for use by a drug cartel, according to an indictment unsealed Tuesday. The charges target two suspected leaders of the ring and "straw buyers" who authorities say were recruited to buy guns on behalf of smugglers.
Most of the guns identified in the indictment were sold by one gun store in suburban Glendale, Arizona. The store and its operators weren't charged.
All right this is the last warning. If legitimate gun owners don't start policing their own and tightening up on these unsrcupulous gun shops, I'm afraid we'll have no choice but to implement severe measures. The indictment states that Uriel Patino, who is accused of buying 239 weapons for the ring, bought all but nine from the Glendale store.
Please cooperate before it's too late.

ReplyDeleteOoh--scary! As if you're in any position to carry out your childish little threat. You crack me up.
Last week they were basic common sense solutions. Now you admit they are "severe measures",
ReplyDeleteWe'll take your warning under advisement.
And do you have any evidence that the gun store did anything wrong?
ReplyDeleteOr are you just reaching for anything that will keep people from exercising a right as you once did?
Zorroy, Cracking you up is what I live for.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, You want EVIDENCE? Is not hendreds of gun sales to the same guy enough EVIDENCE for you? Doesn't your brain work for such simple equations as 2 + 2 = 4?
Please remember we're not in a court of law here, we're on a blog. On a blog, hundreds of guns sold to the same guy who later turns out to be a gun smuggler or a straw purchaser is evidence enough. Of course, we presuppose you're honest about it.
Zorroy, Cracking you up is what I live for.
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you, though, that you have been eclipsed as the most amusing of the liberty-haters.
That distinction goes to Elliot Fineman, who intends to double down on the Brady Campaign's laughable attempt to bully Starbucks into banning armed customers. He demands that they not only do that, but donate $10 million to the forcible citizen disarmament lobby, every year!
Fineman said his organization plans to boycott large corporations, including Starbucks and Nike, unless they change their stance on gun violence.
Starbucks, which allows people to openly carry firearms in its stores, must ban the practice and commit $10 million each year to getting sane gun laws passed, he explained, adding that Starbucks made $550 million in profits in 2009.
What is "his organization," you ask? The National Gun Victims Action Council. Ever hear of 'em? Me either, and yet he thinks his little fringe organization can succeed, where the Brady Campaign so utterly, ignominiously, and hilariously failed (Starbucks earned significantly larger profits in 2010, while the Brady Bunch tried to bully them).
Isn't that a riot? "Because of my dead son, I get to extort $10 million a year from you, to support my pet tyranny."
Good luck, dumbass.
Ooohh--things ain't lookin' good for your heroes in the BATFE. The budget cuts that have Helmke crapping his big boy pants are nothing compared to what's coming down the pike.
