Holy Relic?

John Lennon's tooth is going up for auction and is expected to make £10,000!
The tooth was given to the former Beatles' house keeper Dot Jarlett when she worked for him at Kenwood mansion in Surrey in the late 1960s.

He told her to give it her daughter "as a souvenir" after he had pulled it out in the kitchen of the Weybridge property.

The tooth will be auctioned in Stockport on 5 November

  1. I have one quite like that sitting in a box in the attic. What will you give me for it? I pulled it myself in 1994.
Perhaps someday there will be a great monument dedicated to the massive dental hygiene dilemmas of great british rock artists of the 20th century and this will be at it's summit...I'd like to contribute a stained glass window composed of Sid Vicious's dental x ray plates....

  2. I got one to sell too! Plus mine is covered in gold. Must be worth plenty as well.

  3. I found that picture pretty disgusting. And his having given it to someone is just weird.

  4. I have to say that's one of the most historically significant examples of an Englishman's tooth ever found.

  5. That is going to be a lot of money for the tooth fairy to carry...

  6. I think the new owner should build a reliquary like the ones in European Cathedrals.

  7. I have seen with my own eyes the index finger of St. Thomas which was put into the wound of Christ. That's in Rome. Maybe Laci's on to something. If handled right, this tooth could become a holy relic of rock and roll.

  8. He did say the Beatles were bigger than Jesus, but this is going a bit far.
