Maybe this will give you the willies

While you are all worried about the evil guvment (nevermind that big business is a whole lot more evil, but you've been drinking the water--er, kool-aid).  It seems that the NSA can snoop on your computer even if you are not connected to the internet according to the latest leak from Edward Snowden.

Remember that while you are violating the constitution by plotting against the government (Article III, Section iii)!

But, don't worry, they also have implants that can read your mind as well.  You can expect to be sitting in some secret prison rotting away after the mind police arrest you.

  1. Bass Akwards, Pooch. Snowden is exposing whi is conspiring against whom. It is the government waging war against the people, not the other way around. We have our local standing armies treating the people like we are all terrorists, terrorizing us with militarization of the police, warrantless searches and sexual assault at airports, imprisoning innocent people who have committed no crimes, and stealing our liberties and freedoms one-by-one on a daily basis.

  3. Way ahead of you, Laci. So tell us: Do you object to this as well? Or do you support these violations of our rights?

At least when a big business misbehaves, you can be reimbursed through the court system. When the government violates your rights, you're usually lucky if you get a begrudging "we'll stop now". And of course, they also have guns and authority to use them to make you do their bidding.

"This latest leak details how the NSA accessed targets by inserting tiny circuit boards or USB cards into computers and using radio waves to transmit data without the need for the machine to be connected to a wider network."

The article seems quite clear that in order to examine your offline computer, they need to get hold of your computer and install a device with a transmitter. So in order for this to work, someone needs to either commit theft of your computer or burglary to install the device. Shades of Watergate!
