  1. Sheriff: It wasn't a circumstance where there was, how shall I put it... horseplay or anything like that?

Flying Junior: Was it a circumstance where two or three boys fourteen years old or younger were playing with guns? Is it just possible that one of the older boys just accidentally happened to be pointing the gun at the youngster's head exactly when the gun went off? I don't subscribe to guns. But as an outsider I do completely understand that you never point a gun at another person, even if you know it is not loaded.

The dickhead sheriff summed it all up by saying it was just another unavoidable, tragic accident. Couldn't we have simply avoided it by not allowing tweens to hunt without parental supervision?

    1. The sheriff's an idiot. No question.

    2. Does it occur to either of you that the sheriff or police officers have to follow the law? A person can declare something to have been an accident, if that's what the law requires, without believing that to be the ideal description.

    3. Does it occur to you, that you have to follow the law? According to your own words, NO.
SS told a reader just the other day, it is OK for the police to call a shooting an accident without finishing the investigation. In fact, it was OK for the police to lie, that's part of their duty according to SS.

    4. Oh, now you're full of support for the sheriff and police officers who have to follow the law. But just the mention of a "may issue" policy gives you the willies.

    5. I didn't express support. I was stating a fact. Law enforcement officers get into trouble when they don't follow the law. On some occasions, as in states where sheriffs have said they won't enforce gun control, they're taking a stand for the right.

    6. Police saying they won't enforce the law, should be fired.
I understand you agree with police not enforcing the law, since you are a criminal.

  3. If you have a gun and call whatever you do an accident, the LEOs will let you get away with it AS LONG AS YOU KILL THE TARGET. This is the core idea of the "stand your ground", or more accurately, "shoot and kill the wounded". The NRA will destroy any prosecutor who brings charges.
