A 6-year old girl has been confirmed dead after what investigators are calling an apparent accidental shooting in her family's home in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

She was rushed to Southwest Regional Medical Center in Mccomb where she passed around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, shortly after her 13-year old brother untimely discharged his pellet gun inside the home.

  1. People often seem to put pellet guns into the same category an the infamous Red Ryder BB gun in the movie "A Christmas Story". But pellet guns are much more powerful and accurate than the standard BB gun.

    1. Are you are saying a BB gun cannot be dangerous, or cause harm?

    2. Anon, as you can see from my comment, I didn't say that. I said pellet guns are much more powerful and accurate. Spring driven BB guns have velocities of up to around 300 fps, while commonly available pellet guns can reach velocities over 1,000 fps, comparable with real firearms.
