New Slogan

Coined by Flying Junior:

What the fuck is wrong with people? Unless you are into killing people, you really don't need guns.

  1. I appreciate it when gun banners say what they really want.

It's a refreshing change from the wishy-washy talk of merely banning big bullet blasting boxes, and other common sense prohibitions.

In this sense your extremism shows you have a lot more moral courage than someone like Joan Peterson.

  2. Unless you are into committing internet fraud, you really don't need a computer.

  3. I'm honored. I really don't oppose responsible gun ownership. But for me, the question has always had a very simple answer.

  4. "What the fuck is wrong with people? Unless you are into killing people, you really don't need guns."

"I really don't oppose responsible gun ownership."

    Nice waffle.

  5. Flying junior, you must not live in an area where there are predator problems, like coyotes.

    I do.

The assumption that guns are only for the various kinds of human predators is a mistake.

  6. Actually I am comfortable with gun ownership. It's just not for me. I will never need it. I could only invite catastrophe on myself and my loved ones if I ever purchased a firearm. But it is nice to know that other households have guns and that criminals are ever aware of this.

And no, I could never shoot a beautiful top predator like the coyote even if it was legal to shoot within city limits. Happily, my canyon is home to raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, gophers and even bobcats. I think San Diego's wildlife corridors are probably our most valuable resource. My backyard is along one of the most frequented bird migration routes in the entire earth. I saw two robins this month! People that keep weapons to control predation really aren't the problem anyway.

  7. I wanna move to San Diego county.

  8. True unless you are into hunting, target shooting, and not being raped and brutally tortured and murdered.

Of course, you'd probably love being raped and murdered, all that control over you, must give you a hard on thinking about how great it would be if someone else decided whether you should live or die.
